by Aimara Mayorca

I took a trip to Lake Geneva with my besties thanks to this awesome service. It’s so convenient: you just apply, get approved for a membership, receive your membership card, and then you can use the Enterprise CarShare app to view and rent vehicles in your area 24/7. A great option if you live in the city and don’t own a car—but need one on occasion!

At The Goodwill Outlet With Enterprise CarShare

by Lola Arellano-Fryer

Philadelphia

11/18/2016

A while back, I was contacted by Enterprise CarShare to ask if I would be interested in trying out their CarShare service in Philly. The answer was an enthusiastic yes! because Crystal and I have been thinking for a while about becoming a car-less household, and we wanted to know if Enterprise CarShare would be the solution to doing so.

Leaf Peeping with Enterprise CarShare

by Kendra Webb Scott

New York City

11/18/2016

Growing up in the Motor City, some of my fondest memories growing up involved jumping behind the wheel, pushing pedal to the metal and heading off on an adventure at a moment’s notice. Flash forward to my life in the Big Apple over the past 15+ years, and I’m pretty sure I can count on two hands the number times I’ve actually been in the driver’s seat while in the city.

A Pumpkin Patch Day Trip With Enterprise CarShare

by Ellen Schmidt

New York City

10/18/2016

I look forward to many things about fall, and a day out of the city for pumpkin picking and taking in nature's changing colors is at the top of the list. And while we do own a car, it's quite old and not exactly reliable for longer drives, so I was more than happy to learn about an easy replacement for the day: Enterprise's new Car Share program.

Day Trip to Leesburg with Enterprise CarShare

by Jessica Von Dop DeJesus

Washington, D.C.

10/17/2016

I am a big fan of taking day trips when I travel. Whether it is to visit a vineyard or a unique farm, it gives you perspective beyond the classic city trip. The challenging part is that many of these locations need to be reached by car, especially in the United States. However, a car rental during a city trip can be quite a burden, especially when you factor the exorbitant cost of hotel parking or risks of parking tickets. When Enterprise CarShare approached me to try their program in DC, I was in!

Enterprise CarShare is a great option if you live in the city and don’t own a car, but want to use one for the hour or the day. (It’s also great for bloggers that don’t have a car and want to take cool photos outside the city!)

Visiting Our Favorite San Francisco Spots

by Liz Stanley

San Francisco

October 10th, 2016

We’ve only been in the Oakland Hills a short six months, but for Edie a lot of the memories from our time in San Francisco are starting to fade. So last week we took a short tour to remind Edie (and introduce Dot!) to some of our favorite spots...

Where I’m Heading with Enterprise CarShare

by Jocelyn Delk Adams

Chicago

October 10th, 2016

For the last few years, I’ve seriously thought about getting rid of my car. For most of us who own cars in Chicago, we love having the freedom of going where we want when we want but we absolutely hate the exorbitant car notes and insurance fees. This is why car sharing is so appealing...

From the City to the Mountains: a Day of Hiking

by Katie Oberwager

New York City

October 5th, 2016

Life in a big city can be challenging, and from the day I first moved to Chicago over four years ago, I struggled with having to walk for groceries and for various errands, as well as hunting down parking after a long day of work. This one time, I spent over an hour looking for a parking spot by my apartment before having a meltdown, to which I called Joe sobbing my eyes out...

A Trip to the Vet with Enterprise CarShare

by Roxanne Birnbaum

Washington, District of Colombia

October 4th, 2016

absolutely love living in downtown Washington, D.C. We recently sold our car because we are so dedicated to city living. We didn’t use our car that much. Plus, the parking fees at our apartment are astronomical, not to mention maintenance costs, insurance, etc. Adulting is fun. While selling our car was a liberating experience, there are times where even a die-hard city dweller needs a vehicle. Taking my precious Elwood to the vet was one of those instances...

A Road Trip and a Picnic with Enterprise CarShare

by Neha Gandhi

Boston

September 16th, 2016

It is no secret that the mister and I love going to Newport. So when Enterprise CarShare asked us to try out their program, we decided to savor the last moments of summer and take a day trip there. I have always wanted to do the SUV thing, where you can sit in the trunk of the car and have a picnic. You also know how much I love picnics...

Exploring Chicago

by Samantha Kramer

Chicago

September 15th, 2016

For the most part, I usually don’t travel much outside of my neighborhood. I’m a huge fan of walking and love that fact that Chicago is a very walkable city. Last weekend my husband and I decided to get outside our little Chicago bubble and go exploring...

A Day of Work and Play with Enterprise CarShare

by Savath Young

Boston

September 15th, 2016

I love living in Boston. I get the close proximity to the beach and the Cape and I also love that you can get anywhere around the city by train or bus. Yet, on some days, my schedule is so hectic that I don’t have the time to walk or take public transportation to my million destinations...

Travel Journal | Road Trip to Long Beach Island, NJ

by Jessica Colditz

Philadelphia

September 14th, 2016

I can’t believe it’s September already – the months have just been flying by, and so have my opportunities to visit the beach. Fortunately, the New Jersey beaches are only about a 1-2 hour drive from the Philadelphia area, making a day trip or short overnight trip easy to fit in, even during the week. So before the weather gets too cold, my boyfriend and I decided to head down for a short stay on Labor Day...

Sonama Wine Country Travel Guide

by Kelly Huibregtse

San Francisco

September 12th, 2016

Living in San Francisco, one of the most frequent things I get asked is for recommendations for what to do in wine country. My San Francisco friends, as well as people visiting, assume that I have a list of great things to do in Napa Valley ready to share! I actually do have a list that I send to people when they ask, and today I’m going to share it here....

Enterprise CarShare Boston X Roadtrip

by Mindy Thompson

Boston

September 6th, 2016

Having lived the ‘city life’ for a few years now, I can tell you getting from point A to point B can be a struggle. Boston’s subway system is not the most reliable or efficient way to get around. Between Green Line delays or a mid-week Red Sox game, you’ll never know when a train will break down or baseball fans will be flooding the public transit, making a simple grocery run a huge hassle. The surrounding areas of Boston have so much to offer too, but without a vehicle you aren’t able to take advantage...

Every Once & A While

by Blair Culwell Staky

Chicago

September 1st, 2016

One thing I’ve loved about Chicago is that you don’t have to have a car. When we first moved here, Rob and I both sold our cars and it’s been fantastic. The public transit is amazing; you can easily get around on foot and avoid Chicago traffic by taking the ‘el’. We also don’t have to worry about car payments, insurance or expensive parking in Chicago. But now and then, I really miss having a car...

Exploring the City with Ease in a Carshare

by Ian Michael Crumm

Philadelphia

August 31st, 2016

This past year I’ve been traveling more and more which makes leaving my car in the city sort of pointless — no need to pay for a parking spot every month or leave my car stranded on the street when I’m not in Philadelphia. I recently tested...

A Family That Travels Together, Stays Together

by Jeremy Foster

Washington, District of Colombia

August 29th, 2016

It was one of those scorching days in the city where it’s almost too hot to move. You know one of those days where, the second you step out the front door into the summer heat, the only thing you feel is aggravation (and the beads of sweat that ooze down your face). All you want is to retreat indoors where the crispness of the air conditioning will keep you safe...

Adventures at the Alameda Flea Market.

by Cait Weingartner

San Francisco

August 24th, 2016

As much as I love living in a city and not having to own a car, I’ll admit I can feel trapped sometimes. It can be a huge hassle to figure out the logistics of going anywhere that’s further than an Uber can take you, and it’s all too easy to make excuses and ditch your plans because of inconvenience. Ever since I sold my car several years ago I’ve been obsessed with...

How to Make a Farmer's Market Dinner on the Fly

by Tara Milhem

New York City

August 23rd, 2016

After visiting Italy and passing through my fair share of fresh fruit and vegetable markets, herb gardens, and mouthwatering meal experiences, I have felt really inspired to be back in the kitchen. It’s been a long time since I last got to cooking a meal that I felt connected to and proud of sourcing the ingredients on my own and planning it out from start to finish...

My Day in DC with Enterprise CarShare

by Tamara Marbury

Washington, District of Colombia

August 16th, 2016

The Sunday before my birthday, I had the opportunity to test out Enterprise CarShare. Enterprise CarShare is a car-sharing service that allows you to rent a car by the hour, day, or overnight. Here is Washington, D.C. they have cars parked all over the city and many locations within walking distance to my home. I simply open the Enterprise CarShare app on my phone and it's already set to my market in Washington, D.C. I have my location default as my current location...

A City Escape

by Meghan Donovan

New York City

August 15th, 2016

Having lived in a major city since I graduated college it is rare that I drive. I’ll rent cars here and there for trips but I don’t ever think to get one and do day or weekend trips from Manhattan. I had been hoping to squeeze in a trip to the Hamptons this weekend but also was hoping to do so with an avoidance of crowds and traffic. But guess what? That is an impossible scenario when it comes to the Hamptons during the summer...

Road Trip

by Alicia Tenise Chew

Washington, District of Columbia

August 9th, 2016

One of the biggest reasons why I chose to move to a more urban area is because I really am not the biggest fan of owning a car. Driving, yes. Owning a car and paying for insurance and taxes on something I don’t even use on a regular basis? No. I’ll pass!

Summer Concerts and Tailgating.

by Kate Van Geldern Bowler

Boston

August 5th, 2016

Last weekend was a multi-day celebration of my husband’s birthday; I am a firm believer in the “birthday week” over just one night of festivities. We planned to kick off the weekend with friends heading out to a concert (Huey Lewis and the News played, and yes they were awesome). To me, one of the best parts of outdoor summer concerts...
