The Chicago Card Plus IGO is a smart card that allows IGO members to access CTA trains and buses, Pace buses, and IGO vehicles throughout the city and suburbs. It makes it a snap to transition from one mode of travel to another!
Starting in August, CTA began the initial roll out of the new Ventra card that is CTA’s and Pace’s new fare payment system that will make it faster and easier to access transit throughout the region. In July Chicago Card Plus – IGO members were notified that access to CTA and Pace via the Chicago Card Plus – IGO would transition to the new Ventra card. Shortly after this notification, members started to receive their new Ventra cards and are among the first to use the new cards.
At this time, IGO does not currently have an integrated solution with the new Ventra card but want to assure you that we are working closely with the CTA to develop a Ventra option that will allow access to IGO vehicles, as well as the CTA and Pace transit systems, so please stay tuned for details as they become available. Until then, please continue using your CCP-IGO card to access IGO vehicles, and use the new Ventra card you will be receiving from the CTA to access CTA buses and trains and Pace buses. For more details on Ventra, please go to ventrachicago.com
Current IGO members who have a Chicago Card Plus – IGO should continue to use their cards to access IGO vehicles until a new Ventra card solution is announced. If you have questions about your CCP-IGO card, please email us at email@example.com call us at 773-278-4446. Thanks for being a member.
